Contractor management

Trades checked before they arrive, and reviewed before they are asked back.

What it covers

Contractor management

A contractor who is cheap, uninsured and unpunctual is not cheap. Before anyone is instructed to work on a building we manage, their insurance and the certification relevant to the trade are checked, and the scope of the work is compared against the price.

On site, hours and safety arrangements are recorded for each visit. When the work is finished it is inspected, and if it is not right it is not signed off. How a contractor performed is reviewed before any renewal, not forgotten the moment the invoice clears.

Four steps

How it works

Check before instruction

Insurance and the certification relevant to the trade are obtained and checked before a contractor is given work.

Compare scope and price

Where a job allows, more than one quote is taken and the specifications are compared line by line, not just the totals.

Supervise on site

Hours and safety arrangements are recorded per visit, and residents are told when access will be needed.

Inspect and review

Completed work is inspected and photographed. Performance goes into the record used at renewal.

Note. The bands above are guide figures for a typical development and are shown so you can judge the order of things before you speak to us. The figure that applies to your building is confirmed in a written quotation once we know what the development actually includes. Nothing here is a fixed price and nothing here is a fee we add on top without telling you first.
